Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Parallel Me ("Parallel Me," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Parallel Me mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information generated when you use the Service, and limited technical information needed to operate the Service.
Information you provide
- Photos and other media. When you choose an image for an AI image or video feature, we process and upload only the selected image to provide the requested generation service.
- Face data in selected photos. If a selected photo contains a face, the image may include facial features, facial position, facial shape, skin tone, hairstyle, expression, and other visible characteristics needed to generate the AI content you request.
- Prompts and generation instructions. We collect text prompts, style choices, templates, and other instructions you provide to create AI-generated content.
- Feedback. If you send feedback, we collect the text you submit and information needed to respond to your request.
- Purchase information. When you make an in-app purchase, Apple processes your payment. We may receive product, transaction, currency, price, and purchase-status information, but we do not receive your full payment card details.
Information collected automatically
- Account and device identifiers. We may create or receive identifiers used for device-based sign-in, account continuity, fraud prevention, and service operation.
- Usage and generation data. We may collect generation task IDs, selected features or templates, processing status, credit balance, history records, timestamps, and technical logs.
- Attribution and analytics data. We use Adjust to understand app installs, advertising attribution, campaigns, and purchase events. This may include device, advertising, network, campaign, and event information as permitted by your device settings and applicable law.
- Technical information. We may collect app version, operating system, network status, error information, and similar diagnostic data.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide AI image and video generation and deliver the resulting content requested by you;
- process selected photos, prompts, templates, and style choices to create AI-generated images or videos;
- process facial features in selected photos only to generate the requested AI character, image, card, or video;
- create and maintain your device-based account and generation history;
- process credits, verify purchases, and restore or reconcile transactions;
- respond to feedback and support requests;
- maintain security, prevent abuse and fraud, and troubleshoot errors;
- measure advertising attribution and improve the Service; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Photos, Face Data, and AI-Generated Content
Parallel Me accesses only the photos you actively select through Apple's system photo picker. We do not access your full photo library unless you separately grant permission through iOS settings. A selected image may be compressed and uploaded only to our own backend servers to provide the generation feature you request.
AI inference is performed using models deployed and operated by us on our own backend infrastructure. We do not disclose user photos, prompts, or face data to any third-party AI provider such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Replicate, Fal.ai, or similar external AI services.
Face data we collect
When you voluntarily select a photo that contains a face, the photo may contain face data, including facial features, facial position, facial shape, skin tone, hairstyle, expression, and other visible characteristics. We collect and process this information only as part of the selected image that you choose to upload.
How we use face data
We use face data only to generate the AI image, character, card, animation, or video requested by you. Our automated systems may analyze visual and facial features in the selected image to preserve or transform appearance, pose, style, or expression according to the selected template or prompt.
We do not use face data to identify, verify, authenticate, or track you. We do not compare your face against any database. We do not create, store, or use faceprints, biometric identifiers, or biometric profiles for facial recognition purposes. We do not build a facial-recognition database.
Sharing of face data
We do not sell face data. We do not share face data with third-party AI services. Selected photos and related generation data are processed on our own backend servers. We may use cloud infrastructure and hosting providers to host our servers, store files, and operate the Service, but the AI models are deployed and operated by us.
Retention of face data
Source images, face data contained in those images, and intermediate generation data are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to provide and deliver the requested AI content, maintain service reliability, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and comply with legal obligations. See the "Data Retention" section below for more information.
4. How We Share Information
We may share information only as needed with:
- Cloud infrastructure and hosting providers that host our backend servers, storage, databases, and delivery infrastructure. AI models are deployed and operated by us on this infrastructure.
- Adjust for advertising attribution, analytics, campaign measurement, and purchase-event measurement, subject to your device settings and applicable law.
- Apple for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and platform features.
- Professional advisers or authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or respond to lawful requests.
- A successor organization in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal information. We do not disclose user photos, prompts, or face data to third-party AI providers.
5. Third-Party AI Services
Parallel Me does not send user photos, prompts, face data, or generated content to third-party AI services. The app communicates with our own backend servers, and AI generation is performed using models deployed and operated by us on our own backend infrastructure.
Cloud providers may provide general hosting, storage, networking, and infrastructure services for our backend. These cloud infrastructure providers do not operate the AI models as independent third-party AI services for the app.
6. Advertising, Attribution, and Analytics
The Service may include advertising or measure advertising performance. We use Adjust to understand app installs, advertising attribution, campaigns, and purchase events. Depending on your device settings and applicable law, this may include device information, advertising identifiers, network information, campaign information, app events, purchase events, and similar attribution or analytics data.
You can limit advertising tracking and control app tracking permissions through your iOS privacy settings.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
Source images, face data contained in selected images, prompts, generated content, and intermediate generation data are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to provide and deliver the requested generation result and operate the Service. Generation task history may be available in the app for a limited period. Generated content you save to your device remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app.
Retention periods can vary depending on the type of information and the systems used to process it. Backup copies may remain for a limited additional period before deletion. We may retain limited records where necessary for security, fraud prevention, payment verification, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.
- You can choose whether to upload a photo. If you do not upload a photo, photo-based generation features may not work.
- You can delete supported generation records or saved content using controls available in the app.
- You can limit advertising tracking and app tracking permissions through your iOS privacy settings.
- You can contact us to make a privacy request. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
11. International Data Transfers
Our cloud infrastructure, hosting, storage, analytics, and other service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised Policy on this page and update the effective date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice as required by law.
